The crop quality and soil management at miaoli district

The purpose of this study was to establish crop fertilizer recommendation based on soil information. The soil and leaf nutrient content was monitored to establish diagnostic criteria for plant nutrition. The results were used to revise the manual of crop fertilization. It will resolve the shortage of traditional fertilization recommendation. The taro field trials result showed that the yield, stem width, plant height and leaf width were highly respond to N application. The nitrogen rate of 400 kg/ha had the proper yield and efficiency.
