The tomato russet mite, Aculops lycopersici, is a pest that causes enormous damages on tomato industry globally but has been found in Taiwan until recently. The impacts of A. lycopersici on tomatoes include browning tissues on stem, leaf and fruit as well as wither that eventually leads to plant death. The amount of rainfall affects the population dynamics of tomato russet mite with major population reduce as humidity getting higher. In laboratory test, the preliminary results showed that 200- 2000X 80% wet sulfurs possesses the best control efficiency than water and 2.8% Cyhalothrin of A. lycopersici.
