1. Strawberry Plantlet Nursing

The strawberry plantlet period could be divided into mother plantlet nursing stage, plantlet propagation stage, and transplanting stage. Different stages require different nursing environment and different pest or disease management, such as releasing natural enemies and little chemical application could prevent the occurrence of powdery mildew, Aphelenchoides fragariae (Ritzema Bos) Christie, Spodoptera litura, and mites. Simple rain protection equipment, improved irrigation system, proper planting space, eliminating unhealthy and old leaves, and combination of chemical application could also prevent anthracnose occurred effectively.

2. Strawberry Field Cultivation

Strawberry plantlets were planted in the field around mid October this year. We schedule to release Orius strigicollis and Mallada basalis to prevent two spotted spider mites and thrips occurrence. Sunflower oil and citrus extract will also be applied for preventing powdery mildew.

The experiment is still under process presently.
