Studies of anti-stress environment on predatism and parasitism natural enemy insects【classified project】

Date:2014-06-17

From 3rd to 5th instar nymph of Eocanthecona fuecellata were feeding under different temperature, we finished three generations and recorded the hatching rate of the third generation’s eggs. The results showed that under 30 and 32℃ the hatching rate were 92-100%, and under 34, 36 and 38℃ were 85-100%, 78-79%, 22-48%. Meanwhile, the death rate of 3rd instar nymph and adult under 35±1℃ and 37±1℃ are 8%, 29% and 16%, 44%. The hatching rate under 35±1℃ are 70-100%, 37±1℃ are 26-85%. To understand the effect factors of feeding amount, our preliminary data show that the best feeding amount of E. fuecellata are starvation after 8 and 12 hours, and 5th instar nymph has the best feeding amount(tobacco cutworm as the feed) after 8 hours. With the increase of the tobacco cutworm age stage, the feeding amount of 5th instar nymph and adult are decreased.
