The tomato russet mite, Aculops lycopersici, is a pest that causes enormous damages on tomato industry globally but has been found in Taiwan until recently. The impacts of A. lycopersici on tomatoes include browning tissues on stem, leaf and fruit as well as wither that eventually leads
to plant death. The amount of rainfall affects the population dynamics of tomato russet mite with major population reduce as humidity getting higher. A total of six nonsynthetic resources were tested, and the preliminary results showed that 320X of 80% wet sulfurs possesses the best control efficiency of A. lycopersici. Further investigations will continue to figure out the best control strategy of tomato russet mite.
