High temperature and precipitation are the major factors that cause strawberry anthracnose. Application of rain preventing plastic and drip irrigation could suppress its occurrence effectively. Epidemic of infected strawberry mother plant could also being controlled by using this system. Using healthy mother plantlets, rain preventing plastic, and undergroud irrigation model would lower seedbed water capacity is the key of decreasing anthracnose happening.

In nursing strawberry plantlets of undergroud irrigation, medium water absorption of coconut fiber, peat moss, and strawberry medium were 3 hours, 7-8 hours, and 7-8 hours, respectively. Growth of strawberry runner plantlet root length at the 4th week in peat moss and coconut fiber were 108 and 77mm, respectively.
